Amy is a leading young rider for Great Britain, proudly moving up to her CSI5* debut at just 22 years old in 2019 at La Baule, France. But what best characterises Amy is not her extensive list of career successes so far, but an [unwavering dedication to the sport of show jumping and the relationship she builds with her horses.]
Originally from West Sussex, Amy was born into show jumping with her father Duncan Inglis an international show jumper and her mother, Claire Inglis both a competitor herself and involved in every aspect of the sport from ponies through to CSI5* Grand Prix and Nations Cup teams for the past 30 years. [Both parents have played an integral role in her passion for the sport and thoughtful management of each horse.]
Amy's pony years provided a depth of competitive experience, nationally and internationally. At the age of twelve, Amy had her first international success competing on Children on Horses, which resulted in her first European Championships team gold medal. Throughout her early teenage years, she competed in four European Pony Championships, winning two team golds and one team silver and was awarded the coveted Pony Show Jumper of the year at HOYS in 2011.
In 2015, Amy was both the National Under-18 and National Under-21 Champion on Amadeus de Hurtebise.
In 2017, Amy rode her bay mare Every Way to victory in the CSI2* Grand Prix in Mechelen, Belgium. As Amy moved into the Young Rider classes, she truly began to build her relationship with Wishes, the brave, talented chestnut mare. Their partnership was brilliantly reflected when she was selected in 2017 for the Young Rider European Championships where she won team gold and an individual bronze.
In 2018, Amy was honoured to be once again selected for the Young Rider European Championships team in Fontainbleau, France where they won team silver.
The opportunity to be part of these Championships brought into laser focus Amy's passion to proudly
represent her country and deliver her best performance for the team.
Set amidst the heart of Paris, the stunning Saut Hermès horse show is one of the most unique on the circuit.
In 2018, Amy won the Saut Hermès Under-25 Grand Prix on her mare Every Way.

In 2019, Amy returned to Saut Hermès with fellow British Young Rider Georgia Tame, to win the Under-25 Team class on Wishes.
In 2019, Amy was honoured to be selected for the 2019 Rolex Young Riders Academy, a programme for the top international U25 riders to support every aspect of being a professional, world-class show jumper.
Amy was also proudly selected in 2019 for the World Class Programme, funded by UK Sport, which supports and develops high potential riders for future Championships and the Olympics.
As Amy's partnership with Wishes continued, Amy made her CSI5* star Nations Cup Team debut at La Baule. Jumping two remarkable clears with just a time fault as part of the Nations Cup team, Amy went onto finish 4th individually in the Grand Prix.
Amy's passion for the sport and her horses is also reflected outside of international competitions where she thrives in the day-to-day horse management and training at Broxmead Farm. From working with young horses on the ground to producing future talent or coaching the next generation of young riders, Amy enjoys every facet of a life filled with horses.
Looking to the future, Amy is focused on gaining further CSI5* experience and when the opportunity arises, proudly representing Great Britain on Nations Cups teams and other Championships.
